Welcome! We are excited to share our services with you. An interview audition will be conducted for all prospective students. No prior musical experience is required!

Group Piano Class*

- Learn together and make lifelong friends!
- Ages 4+
- The group piano class consists of a small class size of 2-4 students. In this class, students will learn the fundamentals of piano technique, musicianship, ensemble music collaboration, ear training, recreational music making, and more!
- Class placement based on age and ability
- Classes held on a weekly basis
- Semesterly: 17 weeks in the fall, 17 weeks in the spring, 12 weeks in the summer
- Class time dependent on enrollment.
- Discounts available for two or more siblings
- Registration fee ($60) reserves your student’s place in the group piano program. All newly registered students will receive the official St. Augustine Piano Academy tote bag, first semester’s piano music books, stickers, practice guide, studio policy, and more!
- All students will have the opportunity to perform on an end-of-semester recital

Collaborative Learning Environment: Students learn together, allowing for peer support, motivation, and shared excitement over musical progress
Foundations of Music Theory: Introduction to basic music theory concepts in a fun, interactive way, helping students understand the building blocks of music
Ensemble Playing: Students will experience playing in duets and small groups, developing listening skills, rhythmic accuracy, and teamwork
Performance Practice: Regular opportunities to perform in front of peers, helping to build performance confidence
Games and Activities: Engaging games and activities reinforce concepts learned, making each class enjoyable and dynamic for young musicians

Perfect for younger and beginner-level children to develop foundational skills
Focus on building foundational technique, reading, music theory, rhythm, coordination, aural training, and musicianship
Semesterly studio-wide performance opportunities
Games and activities are incorporated to make learning fun and engaging.
Rising Pianists
45 minutes
Designed for late elementary to early intermediate students ready for more detailed technique work
More in-depth integration of music theory, aural training, musicianship, musical analysis, composition, interpretation, music history, and piano literature
Broadening of intermediate repertoire: Baroque, Classical, Romantic, Impressionism, Contemporary, Modern, and Jazz.
Introduction to theoretical analysis and musicology.
Opportunities for participation in semesterly studio recitals and additional community and district performances
Advancing Pianist
60 minutes
Ideal for late intermediate and advanced students and those preparing for state achievement performances/competitions or college-level auditions.
Focus on developing advanced piano technique, musical interpretation, performance practice interpretation
In-depth exploration of advanced repertory
Developing research interests: music education, performance practice, female/underrepresented composers, piano pedagogy, etc.
Focus on building practical pianistic skills: accompanying, sight-reading, orchestral playing, jazz band, large ensemble collaboration, sacred music accompanying, etc.
Increased opportunities for formal performances, competitions and preparation for auditions, including solo recitals.
